General Wellness Coaching Program
With a focus on developing a strong and healthy lifestyle, we look at general wellness from a whole health perspective. This is about creating an awareness of what our health patterns are, and what we need to put into place to prevent illness by reducing stress and strengthening the body’s natural healing and immune system. A whole health perspective addresses the mind-body connection and cultivates resilience mentally and physically so you are ready to recognize and fight off the bacteria and viruses that we encounter on a daily basis, especially in a crowded city like New York. Our General-wellness programs use acupuncture, herbal medicine and bodywork, integrating classical Asian spiritual philosophy and practices to addresses everything from allergies to autoimmune disorders. This integrated approach can make a huge difference in how you feel about yourself and how you chose to navigate life in the world. Prolonged stress wears down our mental ability and emotional wellbeing, affecting the immune system’s ability to maintain homeostasis. Long term stress is linked to a poor quality of life, and chronic diseases and interferes with your ability to balance your life.
Stress Reduction and Strong immunity Program
Stress is a major factor in depressing the immune system, leading to illness. When stressed, the body releases stress hormones that stimulate the “fight or flight” response and suppresses the “rest and digest” response which is how the body rejuvenates and heals.
The immune system is like anti-virus software in our body, constantly running in the background. We tend to ignore the warning messages that our immune system sends us, leading to loss of balance and illness. Bi-weekly coaching with exercises for identifying where you get stuck and how to find solutions. Exercises for mindset and designing your unique system, along with herbs, supplements, body work and acupuncture for well-being are included. Each program is designed for the individual and the minimum program 6 months.
